If the book was copyrighted (sp) in 1930 it had an initial term of 28 years, taking it to 1958. A renewal would give it an additional 28 years, to 1986. Since it was still under protection in 1978 an additional 15 years to 2001 probably applies. Notwithstanding copyright, if you were to write the publisher and ask permission to post on a non-profit basis, most would probably say ok. If you need any more info, please write.
