The filename is SCOUTS-L HIGH-ADV. To retrieve the file, send the following command to LISTSERV@tcu.edu: GET SCOUTS-L HIGH-ADV SCOUTS-L The directory is in the form of a uuencoded zip file. The contents are: high-adv.doc The high adventure directory in Word format high-adv.txt The high adventure directory in text format high-idx.xls The index to the directory in Excel format high-idx.csv The index to the directory in comma separated format I hope that you find it useful. The directory will be revised, probably on a yearly basis. ----- The directory contains information on 57 high adventure bases. There is a sort description of the high adventure activities at each base and an index table ordered by region that indicates the activities at each base. Many of the bases in this directory are also covered in BSA pub #4310, "Passport to High Adventure", which is also a good resource. Each resource contains information on some bases that is not contained in the other. Life has been very busy this last year and I have not had time to update the high adventure directory. Nonetheless, it is still on my "to do" list and I am collecting information for the next update. YiS T. N. T. Thomas N. Humph! If you are going to plug your council camp High advneture then I will do the same! :-D Spanish Peaks Scout Ranch (http://www.sftcbsa.org/spsr) has a great High adventure program. You can have a trek that covers one to nine days and climb to the summit of not one, not two, but three mountain peaks over 12,000 feet high. (The base camp itself is at 8,000 feet). SPSR is 108 miles northeast of Philmont. Check out the website for more information. YIS Tim Harkness ICQ Nickname: Freethree Asst.
